I worked closely with Eric when he joined my team at Heads Up Health as our VP of marketing and Health Coaching Development in 2017. I have known Eric for over 20 years both as a friend and business partner. As a fellow entrepreneur, we’ve started multiple business together. Through the successes and failures, Eric always made sure to learn from the failures and apply those lessons to our other future business ventures. In 2012 Eric and I co-founded a veterans non-profit organization called The Veterans Connection. Through the years I’ve seen how passionate he is about veterans and making sure they have access to the resources they need. He has always shown the highest integrity and is a person I can count on during both good and difficult times. Eric’s positive attitude and wise counsel has consistently been a motivation to me and others in his circle of influence.
It is with great pleasure that I share my thoughts on working with Eric Ranks. I first met Eric when I was doing business with a company that began carrying KETOGENIC products. Eric was extremely influential in my understanding of this dietary lifestyle that saved his life, and I could easily see it was his passion and a mission of his to help others. Unconditionally, he would share information (FREE I may add) as well as recipes and answer any questions that I had. It was obvious he was on a mission to help others. Eric's upbringing in a military family had a profound impact on his life. He was greatly influenced by his father's work as a Clinical and Neuropsychologist in the Air Force. Eric's personal experiences of facing health challenges, including leukemia and depression, gave him a deep understanding of the importance of mental health support.
In 2012, Eric founded The Veterans™ Connection, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping veterans™ access their entitled benefits. He recognized the complexities that veterans™ faced in obtaining assistance and felt motivated to do more. Eric's health journey led him to discover the transformative power of the Ketogenic diet, which inspired him to help others optimize their well-being. He became a Certified Health Coach and Certified Ketogenic Coach, committing himself to empowering others to improve their health.
The COVID-19 pandemic heightened Eric's awareness of the rising suicide rates among veterans™ and first responders, leading to a refocus of The Veterans™ Connection on mental health and suicide prevention for these groups.
As a public figure, my mission is to make an impact in every action I take, better people's lives, contribute to mental health support, reduce suicide rates, and inspire individuals to live healthier lives.
